update statement

hi

I want to update a note column within a table with the userid from different table but I want to add the text 'New userid' to each note I update. so the end result for each currently empty columns will look like this

New USEID 12345

12345 will be the userid value from the other table

can this be done and if so can anyone give me an example please?
