Regular Expression to validate a Numeric value in .net

Hi ,

I am very poor in writing regular expressions.Can anybody help me in writing a regular expression which accepts only numeric values.

Ex:12345,7890453458
any length
But it should not accpet alpha numeric or any symbols
ex:123hj,jfsjfjsdfjds,jdkf,;;;,123_sdh

I tried using [0-9] but it is accepting numerics as well as alphabets.

try
^[0-9]*$

which means it has to begin with a number and it can have one or more numbers and it must end with a number too.

is -1,234,567.89 a numeric value?
is +1.234.567,89 a numeric value?
is  -1.23456789e+06 a numeric value?
did you want just
^[0-9]+$

I want the number to start by numeric and end by number and also consists only numeric

You've already found the match but still want to let you know that:

#1. If you skip the ^ then it will match
123
a23
ab1

etc

#2. Similarly, without a + (more appropriate than *) it will only look for 1 character.

[0-9]$ is ok as long as the input ends with a number (1 number).
