Please post a segment of the RSS XML in the code snippet. You will want to redact the unacceptable content, of course.

Then tell us what you want to remove from the XML. Also, if you can tell us why you need to use REGEX and why you need to use Yahoo Pipes, that would be helpful information.

The small images are usually used so that the originator of the RSS information can log the IP addresses of computers that are accessing these images. It helps them know who is tracking their feeds.

I need to use regex because these code changes for every item for every single Feed.
I want code removed to i want it clean.
I use yahoo pipes because i have merge multiple feeds into one feed :)

Depending on your answer we may not want to use REGEX, but instead use a state engine to transform the string. I will be away for a while but will look at this later today.

This will handle the REGEX replacement. Not sure what to make of the Yahoo Pipes. That page is generated via JavaScript that directly manipulates the DOM.
