Browse All TopicsHello,
I need to link two tables that are on separate databases and servers.
How do I do this?
For example the first table which resides on APS-ASSQL01
The database name is APEXTEST
The table name is PostageAnalysis
I want to join to a table on server APS-ASSQL02
The database name is APSCommon
The table name is SQLCustRates
Here is the select query from APEXTEST:
SELECT ProcessID, Arnum, SubApp, ProcessDate, RecordCount, FiveDigitPieces, ThreeDigitPieces, AADCPieces, MixedAADCPieces, PartAPieces
FROM PostageAnalysis
I want to join the PostageAnalysis table to the SQLCustRates table on ARNUM from PostageAnalysis and AR_Code from SQLCustRates.
Also, the AR_Code in the SQLCustRates has a zero in from of each value that I need to disregard when linking the tables.
For example the value in the field ARNUM from PostageAnalysis is 123456
And the value in the field AR_Code from SQLCustRates is 0123456 so I need to not look at the beginning zero.
How should the sql syntax look to do all of this?
Thanks for the help.
