Update a record in sql but not overwrite....add text at the end?

Asked by dkim18 in SQL Query Syntax

Hi,
I can't remember how this is done.
I would like to update this fied. I would like to add not overwrite it.
ID, Name, Subject

Say subject field already has some value in there like 'This is test'.

When I update this value, I would like to add to it.  'This is test' + 'I am updating'.
Update table
set name =@name,
subject =@subject   <=== this just overwrite it.
where id = @id

Thanks much.
