Can anyone help me to write the below in LINQ to SQL?

public DataTable GetTrCodeOrigin()
        {
            string connectionString = @"Data Source=Tony\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=LookupTables;Integrated Security=True;";
            SqlConnection cn = new SqlConnection(connectionString);
            cn.Open();
 
            string sCommand1 = "SELECT [TrCode] FROM LookupPt WHERE (([From-dCode] <= @OrigindCode) AND ([TodCode] >= @OrigintCode))";
            SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand(sCommand1, cn);
 
            SqlParameter prm;
            prm = new SqlParameter("@OrigintCode", SqlDbType.VarChar, 50);
            prm.Direction = ParameterDirection.Input;
            prm.Value = _OrigintCode;
            cmd.Parameters.Add(prm);

LINQ to SQL is highly visual drag and drop so not really practical to provide a code translation for you, but this article is well written and on point:

not quite sure what jamesrh meant by visual drag & drop?  It can be for making a dbml, but not for actual data retrieval.  Try this out:

//assuming TrCode is a string:
public IEnumerable<string> GetTrCodeOrigin()
{
  yourDataContext db = new yourDataContext();
  return db.Where(x => x.From-dCode <= _OrigintCode && x.TodCode >= _OrigintCode).Select(x => t.TrCode);
}
 
//this will get you the same thing, but with different syntax
public IEnumerable<string> GetTrCodeOrigin()
{
  yourDataContext db = new yourDataContext();
  return from x in db where 
   x.From-dCode <= _OrigintCode && x.TodCode >= _OrigintCode
   select x.TrCode;

I meant that with out the whole context of the data model etc.  just the code above or something similar wouldn't be all that helpful.

naspinki,  From-dCode is a string and _OrigintCode is a string. How can incorporate a method to compare 2 strings?
