I have a table A with id and orderdate as below-
id orderdate
1000227 2005-07-29 00:00:00.000
1000227 2005-07-29 00:00:00.000
1000227 2005-04-17 00:00:00.000
i have another table B like this -
id orderdate
1000227 2005-04-17 00:00:00.000
Now i want do delete all id's from table A
where id in table b with the orderdate in table b..
so in the above example, my table A should like this after
deletion -
1000227 2005-07-29 00:00:00.000
1000227 2005-07-29 00:00:00.000
can anybody give me that sql code please ?

More precisely, the below query deletes the results in the first table if there are more than 1 matching rows too (Changed the table names for your clear understanding)
DELETE FROM Table1 WHERE orderdate IN (SELECT a.orderdate FROM Table1 a JOIN Table2 b ON a.id = b.id WHERE a.orderdate = b.orderdate)

You can use a FROM clause in a delete statement, so just write the slect query and add DELETE tablename to replace the SELECT *
