Browse All TopicsI was thinking of a way to capture the index usage on a daily basis;so regardless of when teh server restarts, I will have a history of the index usage for months.
I was thinking of creating a table called WhichIndexesAreUsed and just add a column to it for today's date:
and then on a nightly basis, run the following:
insert WhichIndexesAreUsed
select getdate (), * from sys.dm_db_index_usage_stat
Do you think this is a good method to accomplish the job, or is there a better way?
Thanks
