angelIII,
It returned a blank table. Included the table headers, but that was all. Do I need to convert the datatype from smalldatetime to varchar(7)?
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI am trying to create a asp webpage from a MS SQL 2005 database. The page will sort in a table the individual's displayname and dateofbirth. The table that the data is being pulled from has the following columns in which to pull information from, sn - varchar(255), displayname - varchar(255), dateofbirth - smalldatetime all of which can contain null variables. I want to eliminate any field which contains null values. Then I want to find only the current month's from the dateofbirth column. Of course, in the existing format it displays as dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ssAM and I only want the month and day to display in the results.

this should do:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/
select convert(varchar(6), dateofbirth, 0) ...
angelIII,
Is this correct? If so it still gives the same result. I also tried changing the varchar(6) to (7) but that didn't help. Any suggestions?
Recordset1_cmd.CommandText
Thanks for your help.

what about:
= "SELECT dateofbirth, sn, displayname, dateofbirth FROM dbo.ActiveDirectory2 where CONVERT(varchar(7), dateofbirth, 120) = CONVERT(varchar(7), getdate(), 120) AND sn is not null order by sn"
Recordset1_cmd.CommandText
