Dynamic AJAX Table Pulling from XML Does not Refresh When XML Changed (Caching issue?)

Hello. I have put together some code using the Prototype JS library to pull data from an XML file and display it in a table via AJAX.

The file has no trouble displaying the data when first opened in the browser, however when I add in a function to refresh the data as it changes (periodic refresh every XX number of seconds) the table does not update with the new data unless you close the browser and open the window again.

I have read that IE caches the data, but I've had trouble working around this. Have any of you put something like this together that will pull data from external XML (or RSS) and refresh periodically with the new data? I know it can be done, but I can't seem to figure out how to get it to work.
