How to dynimcally set the height of a Ajax TabPanel so it fills the Height of the Ajax Tab Container using ASP.Net

Tags: Asp.Net, Ajax, Css, IE, Firefox
How do you dynamically set the height of a Ajax TabPanel so it fills the Height of the Tab Container. Currently the height is determined based on the content within the TabPanel Control.

I have tried for test purposes setting the height of the control to a fixed height e.g.
<ajaxToolkit:TabPanel runat="server" ID="Tab1" Height="800px"> and this does not work.

I have tried setting the controls height during the page load event:
Dim percentage As System.Web.UI.WebControls.Unit = System.Web.UI.WebControls.Unit.Percentage(100)
Tab1.Height = System.Web.UI.WebControls.Unit.Pixel(percentage.Value)

I have also tried using CCS:
height:100%;
OR
position:fixed ;
top:70px;
bottom:20px;

I have also attempted using Javascript by :

1. Setting the tabcontainer height to the tab panel height on the page load:

function Resize(){
var tc = document.getElementById("tab1");
//tc.childNodes[1].childNodes[0].clientHeight = '100%';

tc.childNodes[1].style.height =
    tc.childNodes[1].childNodes[0].clientHeight;
}

2. Placing a div within the tab and setting it to a 100% on the page load:

function Resize(){
var divobject = document.getElementById("div1");
divobject.style.height = '100%';
}

Thank you in advance
