Is there any disadvantage in using Ajax, senior people in my company are advicing not to use Ajax, The application we are building is a e-commrece platform. We would like to use Ajax for things like populating  products when a catagory is selected. The MVC we are using struts-2 with jsp as front end

Greetings Friend,

Currently you working in oscommerce related work. So passing the values using Ajax easily get the information in browser hackers get the details. Post and response which data are you passed and get the response easily identified. So oscommerce related work don't using javascript/ajax.

Hi,

have you tried to ask your senior people, the reason(s) why they don't want to deal with Ajax?

this would be a good first step, then if you decide to go for it, there are some great framework, ready to use, that will hejp you populate anything.
