Do I need to write a javascript function 'alert()'
or is it just enough if i use it in the <input> tag?
I am a newbie to this.So please be generous in helping me.

Hi. I have attached a complete html file which I have tested in firefox3.5, chrome 2 and ie8 - the count is correct each click. Maybe something else in your implementation isnt working? If you cannot see the problem after looking at the code in the example, would you post your complete page?

The "checked" value will be true/false in javascript
