When running the Exchange Best Practice Analyser we receive a warning that our passive Single Copy Cluster mailbox server is partially configured.
'ClusteredMailboxServer' is partially configured on server xxxxxx Either setup is configuring it right now or setup failed while configuring it. Please rerun setup if it isn't currently running.
When trying to re-run setup, all options are grayed out and we cannot continue. We have tried removing Exchange 2007 and re-running setup but the same error occurs. The active mailbox server role is working correclty.
Does anyone know how we can complete the configuration of the partially configured passive server?

The following registry edit will resolve the problem: -
- Existence of Watermark key in registry under the below registry location will cause ExBPA to report this error:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Softwar
- The resolution for this would be initiate the setup again. This would ensure the configuration of Clustered mailbox server is completed successfully and ensure the watermark is removed.
- However, I understand that you have already run Setup again and the issue is still seen.
- We will need to manually from the registry:
- Note: This process includes modification of the registry. It is always highly recommended to backup the registry before making any changes.
- Open Regedit and go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Softwar
- Delete the key Watermark and Action.
- Rerun EXBPA and check if the error is gone now.

We are also getting this same notification. Our cluster in SCC and has been functioning perfectly for months. EXbpa is now showing this though.
