Browse All TopicsI'm looking to create a page loading effect on my homepage similar to that of IGN.com (http://www.IGN.com) using javascript or ajax or something along those lines. On IGN's site, an initial full screen image is displayed for about 2 seconds (I'm assuming while the graphics of their page are loading). After that, they display their entire site.
Any idea how I could do this? Display a full screen image until the graphics of the entire site are loaded?
thanks.

you have to use Adobe Flash or Macromedia Acrobat. I know it's one of those programs that you use flash to create a page and then when the real website loads, it switches to that. a friend of mine did it and it worked good. you can try using this website, im not sure if its the same thing or not.
