Resizing image in iframe from the parent

I found the solution on Experts Exchange but am getting the same error the previous asker did, but i can figure out where it is.

the code is
window.onload = function () {alert(window.frames["Soup"].getElementById("picid").width);}      
should return the image size from the iframe:

It should be

No the error is saying access is denied.

Access denied means that the domain on the top window and the frames are different. Cross domain scripting is not allowed by browsers due to security. If both domains are same, it should work.

Wow the web data is stored on a local server.  When I simply run the index.html everything works fine and i get the width alert.  It is when I am in MIcrosoft FrontPage and go to preview that the access is denied.  Thanks for your help.
