A good tutorial on hibernate annotations -

http://ocpsoft.com/java/getting-started-quickly-with-hibernate-annotations/

You can map the pojo to multiple tables (using the one-to-many and many-to-many mappings). Hibernate will internally do the rest when you call a save on that pojo.

what is the purpose to use many to many mapping ?
what is the purpose to use many to one mapping ?

Look at page 2 of the example pointed to in the previous post -

"One of the most commonly-used relationships are many-to-one relationships. Suppose, in the above example, that each ModelPlane is associated with a PlaneType via a many-to-one relationship (in other words, each model plane is associated with exactly one plane type, although a given plane type can be associated with several model planes). You could map this as follows:"

hi a_b it is not as i m looking for .. as i told you that i m looking for example which contain combination of 2 or 3 or more table reference in one annotation class. i.e. so we can call or save or insert or select data through one annotation class from different tables without xml mapping  and using only one annotation class and relation mapping (many to one and one to many)..

i think now you getting my point.

thanks in advance.
