Mootools 1.1 - Remove All Elements Having a Certain ID

I have a javascript function that injects div's when a button is pushed (lightbox). As such, I am going to modify the script such that before new div's are injected, any and all old ones having the same ID are deleted. I am on MooTools 1.1 and would like to use the dispose function if that makes sense.

Using Firebug, here is what I end up with if I click the lightbox button three times, and all of these should be removed before instantiating another lightbox:
