jQuery - iterate through all dropdowns on a page

Whenever a dropdown list is changed on my web page I want to ascertain the value of ALL the drop downs in the list.

I'm sure this is something that jQuery should be able to do very well but I'm unsure how to go about creating the function.

I can create the trigger (below) but I need to add the iteration code.

$(".dropdown").change(function() {
 
                // To insert code to get the value from all the dropdowns
