Browse All TopicsI am getting a couple of Javascript errors in IE7 relating to a custom jQuery plugin that I wrote. The plugin works fine, but the Javascript error is annoying and needs to be dealt with.
The errors are:
"Object doesnt support this property or method" - When trying to call the custom plugin by: $("#q").dwaynefield(); The element with the ID of Q is a text field.
"Expected identifier, string or number" - Line 55 of my custom plugin which is ' $(field).attr({class: "blurField"});'
If anyone has a solution to this problem, I'd appreciate it. I've pasted the plugin code below.
If parts of my plugin need to be rewritten in your opinion, I'm all ears. As long as I can deal with this issue sometime soon, I'd be very grateful.

class is a reserved keyword. So intead of just:
$(field).attr({class: "blurField"});
you need to put quotes around class:
$(field).attr({'class': "blurField"});
