stuck status bar

I am using the following code to update a frame.  Works fine except the status bar will creep up to about 50% and then is stuck.

The frame gets updated and is fully functional, but to the user, it looks like its still working.

I believe this has something to do with the return property(?) but am not sure how to handle it.

that sounds like an ASP error, not a javascript error.

hmmm,

Don't think it's in the ASP.  It's part of a canned app from a very reputable source.

The only change I made, was adding the "target" in the form.  It does not have the problem if I remove the target.

I fixed it by getting rid of
<A href="javascript:document.frmSearch.submit()">go</A>
and replacing it with a button.
