Question

javascript links ALWAYS give 'Error on page."

for example:

javascript:WinOpen4('/products/horizontal_larger.asp?ProdID=D2');

or

javascript:openWindowPop('pop_open/Dgfoto23_pop.htm')

I'm at my wits end on trying to get things working properly and it's been several months.  I've tried tweaking both MS version and and Sun Java 1.4.  Java apps seem to be of no problem, it's the scripts that my browser/pc doesn't like.  It's hindering my work here, so any help would be appreciated!

Try running this in Netscape. Once the page loads, type

javascript:

(include the colon) into the address bar. It will launch a debugging window that will point you right to the error.

I am assuming that WindowOpen4 is a custom defined javascript. To call it from a link, try:

<a href=# onClick="javascript:openWindowPop('pop_open/Dgfoto23_pop.htm'); return false;">Your link</a>

Actually, I just figured it out.  After all this time it hit me.  I checked my internet properties and found that both MS VM java was enabled ALONG with the Sun Java.  I disabled the MS VM and restarted.  Everything works perfectly now.  

As far as distributing the points, it looks as if everyone thought I was having problems with java in one of my own pages.  Regardless, I'd like to distribute the points among you.  Thanks for your quick responses.
