You may try to change the "video.setFullScreen()" to "video.DisplaySize=3".
It is because this syntax only support media-player 6.4.
If your user PC install media-player 9.0 or above, the above code does not work.

Thanks,

Is there a way to detect which version the user is using and based on that give the correct command.

Also is there a way to tell the web browser that we are embeding a Windows MEdia File And not to use anything else but windows media. I found that when realplayer is the default video player it takes it over and trys to play it as a sound file.

Thanks

About the detection of media player version, I need time to search for you.
However, my computer is install Windows Media Player 9 already.So, I cannot the test the coding.

In you want to tell the web browser that we are embeding a Windows MEdia File And not to use anything else but windows media,which is quite easy to implement. But it also work in IE browser only.Is this ok?According to some document, if you install media player 9.0,a netscape plug-in(a java applet) installed for netscape browser to call media player.However, the code cannot work when I test the code in netscape browser.

Here is some sample code for media player 9:

<html>
<body>
<SCRIPT>
if (navigator.appName == "Netscape") {
  document.writeln('<APPLET NAME="Player" HEIGHT="400" WIDTH="350" CODE="WMPNS.WMP">');
  document.writeln('  <PARAM NAME="URL" VALUE="MOV00002.MPG"/>');
  document.writeln('  <PARAM name="autoStart" value="false"/>');
  document.writeln('</APPLET>');
} else {
  document.writeln('<OBJECT ID="Player" height="400" width="350" CLASSID="CLSID:6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6">');
  document.writeln('  <PARAM name="URL" value="MOV00002.MPG"/>');
  document.writeln('  <PARAM name="autoStart" value="false"/>');
  document.writeln('</OBJECT>');
}
document.Player.uiMode="none";
function setFullScreen()
{
 var p=document.Player;
 if (p.playState==3)
   document.Player.fullScreen='true';
}
function stop()
{
 if (navigator.appName == "Netscape")
   {
    document.Player.getControls().stop();
   }
 else
  {
    document.Player.controls.stop();
  }
}
function play()
{
 if (navigator.appName == "Netscape")
   {
    document.Player.getControls().play();
   }
 else
  {
    document.Player.controls.play();
  }
}
</SCRIPT>
<form>
   <input type="button" value="Full screen" onclick="setFullScreen()">
   <input type="button" value="Stop" onclick="stop()">
   <input type="button" value="Play" onclick="play()">
</form>
</body>
</html>

If you want to know how to detect the install media player version , you can download the  media player SDK. There are an example to show you how to do so.

Have you test the above coding?
The fullscreen function will only effect when the movie is playing.

Try this one, I found that not all media support all function.
However, I followed the object model for both version player.

<SCRIPT language="VBScript">
