i'm making a site in which one page has a iFrame which opens up another site in that page. What i want is somehow a way to capture the state of the site inside the iFrame when the user leave that page which contains the frame and goes to another page in my site. And when the user come back to the page which contains the iFrame then he's show the page in that site where he left and not from the starting again..can this be done..i'm trying to get the url of the iframe obejct but haven't been able to do so.

If the framed site is not yours (from the same domain as the top domain), you can't know where user is going and what user is doing. This is built in security feature of the browser.
