Browse All TopicsHi,
Is there way to capture the unchecked checkbox action?, say I have few check boxes (will be dynamically created), if I select few of the check boxes and submit my jsp page will capture the checked checkboxes, my program allows the user to go back and see the already made selections, and make it unchecked if needed, in this case I need to capture all the check boxes that are unchecked and process that in my JSP page. The problem here is the number and name of the check boxes are dynamic (not fixed check boxes).
If there is no way to capture the unchecked action, is there any work around?, I tired to create a hidden input with the same name as the checkbox and passed 'false', but some how my javascript is trying to make 'false' to the check box only,not the hidden input.
Here is what I tried:
function uncheck(iBoxObj)
{
iBoxObj.value = 'false';
}
in my html/jsp BODY
<form>
<INPUT TYPE=CHECKBOX NAME="varName1" isChecked ONCLICK="if(this.checked)t
<INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="varName1" value=''">
</form>
In the above code, I pass "this" which is really a checkBox object, but I want to populate the hidden field object, how can I do that?, In otherwords, how can I change a hidden field value based on the check box action?
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
