You can use XML for this instead of database, It consumes very less space.

I need a Interactive world map for my new project which shows respective country's major cities and has facility to select country and respective city of it. The contryis and cities of map may come from database.
Whic is advisable to use for such kind of problem Flash MAP or combinatino of <Area> <MAP> and <IMG usemap > ?
Does Database connectin can be created from Flash?
I found some flash maps from following links:
http://www.usflashmap.com/
http://www.mrnussbaum.com/
But they are not suitable for my project because they doesn't display names of cities.
The project is going to developed under ASP / MSAccess.
Please help me on this problem.
