RegEx Match Password fields

I have 2 Password Text Boxes and I'm using the following Regex Validation.

I have another field called txtRePassword and I want to compare the 2 to make sure the passwords are the same. How can I do this?Thanks.

for comparing text fields you dont need a regex.. just a simple comparison of the values will do it

something like

Makes sense. But there is not a RegularExpressionValidator that does this?

erikTsomik's answer above is the simple JavaScript way to validate that the two passwords match.

Just as another option (given your ASP.NET-based code snippet above), if you're trying to accomplish this by way of an ASP.NET validator control, you can use a CompareValidator (see http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.ui.webcontrols.comparevalidator.aspx).  This might look something like:

    Display="Dynamic" ControlToValidate="txtPassword"
    ControlToCompare="txtPassword2" EnableClientScript="True"
    Type="String">The two passwords do not
    match.</asp:RegularExpressionValidator>

regex will validate teh text. say whether it contains numbers alphabets and so on... for comparing 2 fields you dont need to use regex
