>I want to execute  pre installed  CD Burner software from html page using javascript.

>Can this html file communicate with that application so that any type of information of this application can be displayed on html page

I have a script written in vb script which runs fine , but it will not work with firefox and other  platform except windows.

I have  tested above examples you provided ,
The third  link have some stuff which I think can solve some problem but it shows access denied error. We need to any how bypass this security issue so that it can give output

I have some coding in vb script which works fine only with IE but i need it with javascript and working with all browsers
