TextArea html tag to contain HTML-Formatted Text

Normally, textarea html tags allow you to put "PLAIN" text. My question is: how do I let my input in a text area appear in the same way that it appears when I type text in a FrnotPage page? In other words, I want - while typing text in a textarea field - to have my text appear as formatted rather than as plain text, so how do I do that? Any ready script that does that for me?
