script for creating transition effect on popup menu

Asked by dog_star in JavaScript

hi all,

i have a simple navigation system on a website i'm building... i have a table with a number of rows each of which has a link... one of the links triggers an action script which shows a <div> layer which has a number of additional links... on mouse out it hides the layer... all very simple :)

now the client wants some sort of 'fancy' transition effect when the layer opens and closes...

does anyone have a specific example for doing this?

i'm happy to work with prototype or one of the other JS frameworks but i'm not very familiar with them so it would take me longer than i can spare to actually work out how to do it myself :)

thanks in advance for any help.Start Free Trial
