The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Mouse following DIV issues

Hi folks,

I am doing an events calendar for a church's website and would like events to popup when you rollover them. See below for details.

I have multiple issues here and I hope that this won't seem too much for you.
I have included a link to the page in question so that you can see what is going wrong.
http://www.mmcfc.org/test.htm
Click on the link that appears in the page to examine the issue first hand. You must rollover one of the dark gray date cells in the first row of dates at the top of the calendar to activate the hidden div.

Issues:
1) I am attempting to create one of those floating divs that follows your mouse when you rollover a particular cell of a table. I have it appearing as desired, but I can't figure out how to make it go away when the mouse leaves the confines of the <td> element that activated it with the onMouseOver... (all code below).

2) The working version of this seems to work great in Firefox, but when I try it in IE, very horrible results take place.

3) The PNG file I created shows perfectly in Firefox with proper transparency, but in IE it shows a strange blue-ish background color where the transparency should be. Why is this happening only in IE? (stupid question, I know...IE is for crap)

I really hope that these are simple fixes as I don't intend for this to be a drawn out question.

Thank you all very much for your help.
