Question

DIV Positioning FireFox (FF3)

Hi Experts,

I am trying to create a floating DIV with Absolute Position. I found some code on google, which I have customized to my requirement (script attached below).

This code is working fine for IE7, but in FireFox the positioning is not working. In FF3 the code is displayed at topleft corner of the screen.

Any suggestions?

Did some test using Alerts as below, it seems I am getting X, Y Coordinates correct. Problem is applying it to div:

These are the problem statements I guess, as  findPosY(targetObj) is returning value.
oDiv.style.top = findPosY(targetObj)+ targetObj.clientWidth + 18;
oDiv.style.left = findPosX(targetObj) + targetObj.clientWidth + 40;

can you please try adding the units along with the top and left positions as well.

eg:

oDiv.style.top = findPosY(targetObj)+ targetObj.clientWidth + 18 + "px";
oDiv.style.left = findPosX(targetObj) + targetObj.clientWidth + 40 + "px";
