Hi,
when I open a Dialog window from an asp.net net page, the contents of the parent page become white (everything disappears from the page). How I can keep the content in the parent page while the Dialog window is open?

I have button in the Dialog window with the following command;
Response.Write("location.href='myPage.aspx?id=1;window.close()")
When I click the button, the dialog window closes and another window(myPage.aspx) opens. How can replace the parent window with the above address instead of opening a new window?

pls. help

It might be worth while to upgrade to 2.0.

I had a similiar problem, I gave up trying to figure it out, upgraded to 2.0 and used AJAX. Sorry... goof luck

just write in the body of 'myPage.aspx' as below

<body target="_self" />

or try using Iframe .

IF above does not work then
in Iframe create another page
say Iframepage.aspx

in it write
<html>
<body style="margin:0px">
<iframe src="myPage.aspx" width="100%" height="100%" />
</body>
</html>

and in your page where u r writing
window.showModalDialog(

there mension "Iframepage.aspx" instead of "mypage.aspx"
