Question

jsp and javascript validation

Asked by: l_starter_l

Hi
i have a jsp page that submits data into a database..It works..However I also have a external javascript validation file that I call like onClick="return check_form(form1);" The validation works if I take out the Jsp scriplet.. How do I get either the form to call the validation script first or the jsp code to call the javascript validation executing the rest of the code..

Please share the source code.
Also please highlight the JSP scriplet that you mentioned.
Calling a JavaScript validation method should not be an issue as long as you have included that script file.

by: kadabaPosted on 2009-11-04 at 07:06:43ID: 25740030

why don't you combine MM_openBrWindow('submission.html','','resizable=yes,width=550,height=500') and
"check_form(form1);

i.e onsubmit call "check_form(this);" in that function check if the form data is valid then call MM_openBrWindow
