I put question in php zone because I know of many php vBulletin forums or it could just be because I am more familiar with php
Maybe there are many forums written in asp.net
Experts exchange is written in .jsp.
So if a moderator wants to change the zones, I understand.

It might be worth clarifying are you look for an existing forum that you can join? Or are you looking for forum software to start your own?

I started learning about the types of forums on my own after asking many questions on experts-exchange and with these answers, I will investigate further.
In this case: I want to be a forum participant so I can assist a musician in finding talent managers in an exisiting forum.
