palli,

"..Is it possible to monitor when my download button is push?..."

What are you trying to monitor? Is there any particular reason this question can be answered in the Perl forum?

Please provide as much more detail on what exactly you are trying to do.

That way you will get a more accurate answer, faster.

palli,

"..Hope this is enough?

                     This would be PERL/CGI action?..."

What you are saying now is loggin users action. What you mentioned earlier was monitoring the download.

They are 2 different things.

Let me explain my understanding of your requirements.

* You have web pages with a button to download.
* When users click on that button, you want a Perl/CGI script to be called & the user details (username, date-time, file name etc..) to be logged in some file.

Let me know if this is correct.

If this is correct, please provide the answers to the following question.

What OS are you on? Do you have Perl installed on your system? If so, what version of Perl are you using?
Is there a URL that you can post here, where one can see the download button for oneself?

Do you already have a Perl script that is called when the user hits the download button? If so, can you pl. post that here?

Please provide as much more detail as you can. This will help you get a more accurate answer, faster.
