Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Hi,
I have a question about <STDIN>.
I have a little program that displays a question to the user. The user then needs to answer the quesiton dispalyed by the program, press enter and then the next question is displayed. The data is then stored in a DB.
My problem is this:
When the user starts typing on the command line ( Unix OS), if at any time they misspell something or want to press backspace, instead of delelting the characters instead they get "^?".
What do I need to do or what do I need to 'set' so that they can press the backspace and have the characters of their 'answer' deleted? I just want the 'command line' to work in my program like a normal command line in UNIX does. The user needs to be allowed to press backspace without lots of gargbage appearing.
