Perl using smbldap to create users from a file

Tags: perl, smbldap, using, users
Hi,

I am reading a file and trying to run a command to setup a list of users using smbldap.
I read the user name and actual name into variables and I am trying to do this.

system ("smbldap various switches $username -c "$actualname" $username");

This just fails. Any ideas?

I am extremely new to this... I only looked at unix about two weeks ago and I've never used Perl.
