Perl MIME::Lite - Sending via gmail smtp

Hi,
I am trying to send an email via gmail's smtp server, using Perl MIME:Lite.

Case 1: without proxy server --> error message as shown
Case 2: with proxy server --> no idea how to do this

use Net::SMTP;
 
$FROM='myemail@gmail.com';
$TO='myemail@gmail.com';
$subject='TESTING 123';

Not very helpful links. came across link #1 myself. But there was no solution to all 3 links as well

Simple fact is if your firewall doesn't allow port 465, then you won't be able to use gmail.

Hey Hi,
i am not a expert in Perl but i did check your code did notice one thing.........please change your port no to 587 and try........i think it will work then........
