The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Reading file from anchor link, storing contents and comparing

Asked by joshidin in Perl Programming Language

This is related to my previous questions. I have now two hashmaps stored with strings and comapring for equality. code for which looks as below:
hash1 contains names for file names Perforce and hash2 contains names from a html page.
foreach (keys %{{%hash1, %hash2}}) {
printf DIFFERENCE "%-40s %10s %10s\n", $_, exists($namesOld{$_})?'Yes':'No', exists($hash2{$_})?'Yes':'No';
}

Which ever name both hash maps contains(ex:test_od1)le name and 'YES'...in this scenario, now i need to open the link in html page and also file from perforce for the same name and store in different hasmaps as a key value.
Html file contains bunch of links as below:
    <A HREF='/cgi-bin/test_od=detail'>test_od1</A>       -----            -----            IN 0/0

content of file and htmls page looks as below:
Execution History  test_od

   Status/[Event]  Time               Ntry ES  ProcessTime         Machine
insert_job: test_od   job_type: c
box_name: test_od_box
command: bl -g open
machine: Vmachine
#owner: test@test
permission: gx
condition: s(test_od)
description: "comment"
std_out_file: /logs/${test_od}_${PPID}.out
std_err_file: /logs/${test_od}_${PPID}.out
alarm_if_fail: 1
profile: /utilities/test.profile
-------------------------------
Need to store string before ':' as a key and string after colon as a value. Attached two files (test1.txt(html) and test.txt.

Open each link and file one at a time and store in different hash maps and compare these two hashmaps for same key and values and display if any difference.

Thanks in advance for help and code snippet would be of great help.Start Free Trial
