Browse All TopicsHi folks,
I am having some difficulty attempting to convert a string of hashes back into a true hash of hashes. No matter what I have tried, I still somehow get a string returned from the following code.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The returned dataset comes back as;
$VAR = '{
"thing_1" => 12345678,
"thing_2" => 34567890,
....etc etc
}'
Note the single quote surrounding the data...I can't address those hash items until they are converted to a hash.
Thanks all.

Not really sure what form your input is in... but the folllowing may be what you want. If your code may have more than just the leading and trailing braces, you'll have to adjust accordingly.
