I am looking for a small script that sends HTTP request to an oracle database (just URL https://www.xxx.com/pls/test) every 1-2 seconds to test if sessions keep adding up or cleared.
I want to run it for 10 minutes and monitor the database sessions.

Does anyone have a tool I can run on my pc or a script in perl or java?

Write a simple Java Servlet that connects to database and queries the oracle database. Hardly 1-2hrs of work.

i already haev a pl/sql simple "hello world" program. I just want to call it. there is no need to connect adn query. that is handled by mod_plsql.

To send a simple http request, you could use perl and the LWP::Simple module.  The code would look like:

is it possible to have the script run for 1 hour and stop or do i need to schedule it.
