deleting image reference from the table

Hello Experts,
I have a .cgi page in the admin section of the website where admin user can upload maximum of 3 images for each product, the script upload the images and store the image name in the database table.
However, there is no functionality If the site admin wants to delete the existing image and upload a different one.
I have no clue how to write CGI script. Can someone of you please make a script for this?
Your help is much appreciated.
