Browse All TopicsI have a Powershell script which I use to rename a PC, join it to our domain, then reboot the PC, all run locally from the desktop itself while the desktop is logged in as the local administrator account.
The script, however, isn't creating the account in the domain as (I think) it's supposed to. Everything else works just fine. What am I doing wrong?
I've tried it with a Domain Admin account, so it doesn't appear to be a rights issue.

Ok, so that works moreso than the other did. FJoinOptions needed to be 3 instead of 2. But while it adds it to the domain now, it does so using the PC name prior to the "$computerobject.rename("$
Short of pre-staging the accounts (either manually, or via a script), or rebooting between the rename and the join, is there any way to get it to join using the new name?
