Browse All Topics am using psexec with powershell 1.0 to excute a script that will give me the version of Adobe Acrobat reader installed on my workstations.
Reference: http://www.leeholmes.com/b
If I copy the version script to the c drive of the computer and execute the following command it works as intended. I get the output I expected from psexec and powershell.
psexec \\COMPUTER cmd /c "echo . | powershell c:\get-fileversion.ps1 'C:\Program Files\Ado
be\Reader 9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe'"
If I copy the script to a network share and change the location in my command to a unc path I get the following:
psexec \\COMPUTER cmd /c "echo . | powershell \\server\data\get-filevers
ram Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe'"

The term '\\server\data\get-filever
unction, operable program, or script file. Verify the term and try again.
At line:1 char:36
+ \\server\data\get-filevers
Reader\AcroRd32.exe'
cmd exited on COMPUTER with error code 1.
How do I get the second command to work? I am trying to avoid having to copy all my powershell scripts to all my workstations. I am not interested in installing the RC of PS 2.0. I have xp workstations.
Thanks for all your help

The get-fileversion.ps1 is not being found. If you do a "dir \\server\data\get-filevers ion.ps1" do you see it?
