how to use power shell to find inactive user accounts for more than 30 days and export it out to a txt file?

Hi Experts,
I am new to PS, I need a PS script to find inactive user accounts for more than 30 days and export it out to a txt file?
Any advise is appreciated.

If you're happy to install the Quest PowerShell Tools you can do this fairly easily.

Get-QADUser -sizelimit 0 | ? { $_.lastlogontimestamp -le (get-date).adddays(-30) } | select name, lastlogontimestamp | Out-File C:\temp\output.txt}

No Quest PowerShell on the system,just plain powershell 2.0, any possible solution?

Try this. Maybe someone could come up with a simpler way though :)

$FileTimeUtc = (Get-Date).AddDays(-30).ToFileTimeUtc()
$utc = [datetime]"1/1/1601"
$searcher = New-Object DirectoryServices.DirectorySearcher
$searcher.PageSize = 999
$searcher.Filter = "(&(objectcategory=user)(lastlogontimestamp<=$($FileTimeUtc)))" 
$searcher.FindAll() | % {
	$_.properties.name
#	Remove the comment hash below to Comment out below to see the date/time recorded in AD

Added the Out-File command.

$FileTimeUtc = (Get-Date).AddDays(-30).ToFileTimeUtc()
