Upgraded my system to 64-Bit now powershell scripts that used to run on 32-Bit now error

I used to run the following script just fine on my 32 bit system.
    $a = new-object -comobject MSScriptControl.ScriptControl
    $a.language = "vbscript"
    $a.addcode("function getInput() getInput = inputbox(`"Please Enter the Employee's First Name`",`"HR Systems`") end function")
    $strGivenName = $a.eval("getInput")
 But now on 64 bit it gives the folllowing error.
New-Object : Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {0E59F1D5-1FBE-11D0-8FF2-00A0D10038BC} failed due to the following error: 80040154.
At C:\MyScripts\HRSystems.ps1:77 char:20
+     $a = new-object <<<<  -comobject MSScriptControl.ScriptControl
    + CategoryInfo          : ResourceUnavailable: (:) [New-Object], COMException

MSScriptControl.ScriptControl is a 32bit control. As far as I've found there is no 64bit replacement. If you just need an input box what about this.

One question though what does the [void] do?

[void] suppresses the output from appearing in your console window, similar to the Out-Null cmdlet. You don't need it there, but it just keeps your console a bit cleaner.
