Internationalization in Python

I am using BaseHTTPServer as my server and using a python file to render html pagesto browser. There are resource bundles for many languages like resources_en.properties for English, resources_ko.properties for Korean, etc. The application gets locale info from header and based on that, read some data from specific resource bundle to be displayed on page. All resource bundles (except for English), contains unicode characters.

When I am reading data from a resource bundle and displaying it in html page in a browser, it is not getting converted into the language characters. Instead the data is gettng displayed as raw unicode.. like '\uc11c\ube44\uc2a4'. What needs to be done to make it display language characters instead of raw unicode??
