How do I send information from one frame to another (two class instances) in wxPython?

Tags: Pyton using wxPython, Python 2.5.2
Hello,

Here is the problem I am having with some wxPython development. I wish to have a frame that pops up when the user presses a button/selects a menu item (which I have successfully done). This frame is in a new class. What I want to be able to do is have the user input information, and then when they press a button that frame close (which I have done), and the information be passed to the main frame of the program.

To try and explain what I mean, look at the code snippet (and try it possible) and then read on.

Basically, the second frame is opened. I want the user to be able to input something, and the value of what is input be passes to the other class instance, the other frame, and be displayed in the text field there. I really want to try and stick to using 2 classes.

Now, the code that I want to apply the principle to is more complex than this, so having a global variable won't really work properly. Basically I have a wx.ListBox in the main frame, and the popup frame has fields for the user to input values. When the user clicks ok, the Append() function will be called and the values added to the wx.ListBox, but I need something to trigger that and be able to access the values.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
