Script to Monitor Multiple Folders of New Files

I have a script that will run continuously and monitor a folder for the addition of new files. When a new file is place in the folder it will send an email message. The problem is that I have about 40 different folders on the same server that need to be monitored and each folder needs a different email address to send to. Is there a way to put this in the same script? Or I could have multiple scripts run at the same. Not sure this is a good idea. And, finally I could look for a third party application with a GUI to do this. Any thoughts on this would be helpful. I have also included the script that works for 1 folder.

I have done a simpler version of this , just monitoring one folder for new files and i used c# for this and it was very easy to do since dontnet has a special class to support this called FileSystemWatcher

i suggest you use c# or any dotnet language ..basically since you will monitor more than one folder, it is better to create threads so that each thread monitor one folder, you will pass the directory as a string parameter to the thread (use ParameterizedThreadStart) and in the event method you will check the path for every file created so that you can match it with a hashtable that have every directory and its corresponding emailaddress .

I fairly new to scripting and I mainly find scripts and change them for my network configuration. Sometimes I may put different scripts together or modify them to get them to do what I want. I may have play around with to get them to work as some work fine and for some reasons others don't. To be honest some changes I make I have know clue as what I am doing, but that is how you learn. Well as far a C#, I do not know  the first thing about it and don't code other than with vb script for now. I do manage fairly large network so for me a 3rd party app may work for now. I have seen quite a few available for this. I could in the meantime look at the C# over time and see if I could figure it out. Would I need any kind of development tools or application for it? I am also going to leave this open for awhile and see if I get any other advice.
